where the wind comes sweepin’ down the plains….

I can’t help it - when there is blue gingham about, my thoughts turn to Shirley Jones, surreys with fringes and fields of corn as high as an elephant’s thigh.

too small dress from last year lengthened with stuff from the stash, embellishment applied using fake!applique aka zigzag stitch.

and a kerchief!

My kids know by heart all the songs I will let them listen to from the Oklahoma sountrack. (I really don’t want Aidin walking around belting out “I’m just a girl who can’t say no…”)

Your girlie girl is stylin’ for summer.

I lived in OK for about half of my childhood…and now thanks to you I can’t get that darned song out of my head, he, he. Love the way you lengthened the life of that sweet dress.
