I appreciate all the comments about our little flannel board story. Those felt figures were a blast to make, and that’s always been on of my favorite tales. Working on another now, in between lessons. Can you think of anything more impractical, yet more fun? I can’t.
We’re in the thick of school things over here, so I won’t be posting much but photos this week (no more shoes, though - promise :).
happy mid-week!

I really admire your homeschooling abilities. I don’t think I could do it…
Your kids are so bright and creative; you must be doing a great job!
Comment by Alicia A. November 15, 2006 @ 6:06 pmI do too Estea. I think they will grow up to be incredible citizens of this earth. You show them so much outside of the books..that’s just as, if not more important. Hugs mom to mom :)
Comment by Ingrid November 15, 2006 @ 9:22 pmAre those lesson plans I see? So organized!
I love the deer flashcard. I’m looking for a retro-looking set of alphabet cards for Elise. I saw a cute set in the Land of Nod catalog, but I’m still not sure… So many of the newer ones obscure the letters by incorporating them into drawings, and I think that would be confusing.
I’ll stop babbling now.
Comment by amy h November 15, 2006 @ 9:39 pmAwww, shucks. I liked the shoes… I have only been wearing my fleece lined boots since the weather turned cold, so it has been nice to see someone else actually wearing their shoe collection!
Comment by Bee November 15, 2006 @ 10:00 pmyum! is that scones and coffee?
I think it is fantastic that you are homeschooling! one more reason to admire you from afar!
Comment by freelisa November 16, 2006 @ 8:45 amI tried to comment on the flanel board - TWICE. Grrr…. So I’ll try again here. Loved the story. So fun and creative. I used a flanel board on Tuesday to explain the parts of the girl scout world badge to my daisy troop.
Enjoy the rest of the week, and please pass me one of those scones. Yum! (must go raid the kitchen now)
